I got a phone call just as I was about to comment and forgot most of what I was going to say.
I've done clutchless both up and down. I find that the optimum is to use a bit of clutch. Don't pull the lever in all the way because it will never be a smooth

shift. Just pull it in enough to partially disengage the clutch so you aren't hard on the transmission if your timing is a bit off.
Hardcore is shifting clutchless on the limiter. Good way to ruin a power train I expect.

I swear if I tried that on my bike I would get snapped up by the Rozzers in a second. Still sounds nice.
On a side note don't think I would ever shift clutchless... I doubt Im ever going to

take the bike to the track and I always carry a spare clutch lever if I snap one.

The only law here says you have to have a muffler, and they don't enforce it with bikes. Yes, I'm also on YT, same user name. The night shift is easier, way more laid back, but boring as hell. It wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't the only one on it.
